About Me
I’m a true New York girl with family roots in the South & Caribbean. I’ve always loved
helping people, especially children, which led me to pursue a Masters degree in Social Work. My most important roll right now is wife and mom to a great husband and two wonderful children.
I’ve been cooking and baking since I was a child with my mother & grandmother and I marvel when my son likes to help me in the kitchen too. Hopefully, when my daughter is old enough, she will too. I often compare recipes and products that I use in my home to find the best things for myself and my family. That’s why I call this blog, Peaches 2 Peaches…
The popular idiom is apples to apples, but I am paying homage to my grandmother. She was well known for her pound cake and especially her delicious, southern peach cobbler. As a child I would watch her in the kitchen rolling out her dough from scratch & adding her freshly peeled and sliced peaches with cinnamon, sugar, vanilla and other spices. After the peach cobbler would come out of the oven, I would always sneak a taste or two while it was left out to cool. My grandmother is the inspiration to my baking.
Here on my blog I’ll be sharing & comparing different delicious, tasty recipes, as well as reviewing different products that relate to baking and cooking. So, join me on this exciting journey of creative, fun, & fabulous times!
Thanks!
Monique
