This empanada recipe made some of the best empanada dough I’ve ever had. It’s made with butter, cream cheese and flour and it produced the most flakiest dough!
Add sautéed spinach, onions, garlic and ricotta to a bowl and mix. Roll out the dough and cut into circles with a large round cutter or a bowl. Add a spoonful of filling to one of the dough rounds. Fold the dough over into a semi circle and crimp the edges. Repeat with the remaining empanadas. Brush all of them with an egg wash and bake.
Delicious flaky, savory spinach and cheese empanadas!
