1lbboneless, skinless chicken
1 cupplain yogurt
1 1/2tbspchopped garlic

Sauce
2tbspbutter
1/2onion, chopped
2tbspvegetable oil
1 1/2tbspgarlic, chopped
1tbspginger, grated
1 1/2 tspgaram masala
1 1/2 tspcumin
1 tspturmeric
1cuptomato sauce
1cupheavy cream
1tspbrown sugar
cilantro and limes to garnish

1tbspbutter
1 3/4 cupwater
pinch of salt
Instructions
Chicken
In a bowl, combine chicken with the ingredients for the chicken marinade. Place into the refrigerator overnight. Heat oil in a large skillet medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and sauté until cooked. Set aside. Melt the butter in the same pan. Cook the onions until soft. Add garlic and ginger, then add garam masala, cumin, and turmeric. Pour in the tomato puree. Cook for a few minutes. Stir in the cream and sugar. Add the chicken back into the pan and cook until the sauce is thick. Garnish with cilantro and limes.
Rice
Combine 1 ¾ cups of water, 1 cup rice, butter and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over high heat. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand covered for a few minutes. Fluff and serve with Tikka Masala.
