Spread the love

Dessert Parfaits are fun and easy to make. It’s basically layers of dessert components. You can basically add whatever you want to like cake, brownies, cookies, ice cream, whipped cream, pudding. The possibilities are endless.

Red Velvet Cheesecake Parfaits are delicious desserts worthy of your dinner table. And who doesn’t like red velvet cake?

This parfait is pieces of red velvet cake layered with spoonfuls of creamy vanilla cheesecake topped with whipped cream and sprinkles.

For the cake, I didn’t use a homemade version because it’s just easier for the dessert, but feel free to use a homemade red velvet cake. You can get mine here:

I used four small glasses, but you could easily use taller glasses depending on how much you want each portion to be. Just keep adding more layers of the parfait.

This dessert is so delicious. We couldn’t get enough of it!

Red Velvet Cake:

1 box red velvet cake mix

1 box instant pudding

3 eggs

1/3 cup oil

1 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla

Cheesecake Filling:

1 8oz bar cream cheese

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1-2 tbsp milk

Whipped cream and sprinkles to garnish.

Cake:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. In a standing mixer, combine cake mix, milk, eggs, oil and vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured or sugared 9×13 pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes. Cool on a wire rack, then invert. Cut cake in half and reserve the rest for another time. Cut the rest into cubes.

Cheesecake Layer:

In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Add it the milk and stir.

Assembly:

Place about 1/2 cup of cake cubes in 4 glasses or jars. Top with about 4 tablespoons of the cheesecake mixture. Repeat this again. Top each parfait with whipped cream and sprinkles.
