Banana Roasted S’mores

Spread the love

Bananas are such a great fruit. They can be used in drinks, breads, cakes or even by themselves. I wanted to make something to be sure they would be the star of the show. So I made Banana S’mores!

These Banana Roasted S’mores would be perfect for toasting around the campfire!

Just split a banana open, add chocolate, marshmallows, walnuts and a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs, then wrap them up in parchment and foil, and roast them over the fire. Add a few extra marshmallows to torch and drizzle with a little honey when they’re done.

Or if you’re not currently at Summer Camp, use your bbq grill!

Simple and delicious!

Recipe:

4 Bananas

4 tbsp Ghirardelli chocolate chips

1/2 cup mini marshmallows

4 tsp chopped walnuts

4 tsp graham cracker crumbs

4 Ghirardelli chocolate squares

Honey

Peel off just the top part of each banana. Use a fork to slightly mash them so that the tops are flat. Add a tablespoon of chocolate chips to each, and a teaspoon of walnuts to each. Divide the marshmallows between them. Sprinkle a teaspoon of graham cracker crumbs on each. Wrap each banana in foil, and place onto a hot grill. Cover and let them roast for 10-15 minutes.

Remove bananas. Open the foil packets. Add a few additional marshmallows and toast using a hand torch. If you do not have one, place in a broiler until they are toasted. Drizzle with honey and add a chocolate square on top.
