Have You Tried To Carve a Face In a Pie?
The countdown to Halloween is on! What’s on your Halloween treats menu? Making a ghoulish themed pie is a great idea and so fun!
This Ghoulish Blueberry Pie is made with Bob’s Red Mill All Purpose Flour, which makes the most tender flaky crust. It’s a great baking project that the whole family will love!
To make it, make a double crust dough recipe. Divide the dough in half. Roll out both doughs. Place one in the bottom of a pie pan. Add blueberry pie filling mixture.
And for the top crust, just cut out eyes and a mouth in the second rolled dough using an Exacto knife or a sharp regular knife if you don’t have an Exacto. If you don’t want to free hand it, use a jack-o-lantern stencil to help make the eyes and mouth.
Place the dough on top of the pie filling and seal by pinching the edges.
Definitely give this recipe a try!
