Freshly Baked Bread Perfect for the Holidays!
There’s nothing like freshly baked bread coming right out of the oven. The smell is intoxicating!
I recently came across this recipe for Wreath Bread by Natasha’s Kitchen. It was so good! And perfect for the holidays.
I was a little intimidated to try making it, but I’m glad I did. It wasn’t as hard as I thought. Just mix the ingredients in a stand mixer with a dough hook to knead it.
I only made one adjustment. In Natasha’s recipe she uses molasses. I didn’t have any, so I substituted it for honey. It worked perfectly fine. And tasted delicious.
After the ingredients are mixed, let it rise in the bowl for 4 hours, punching down the dough every hour. Then, you divide it in half (it makes 2), then shape them into wreaths and let them rise some more. Then cut with cooking scissors for the wreath design and bake them in the oven one at a time. Place a cast iron pan with ice underneath the breads as they bake.
These breads have a crispy outside and a soft center. This is my new go to bread recipe!

She even has a step by step video of the whole process.
Happy baking!
