What’s In These Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls?

These decadent Cinnamon Rolls are filled with brown sugar, Cinnamon and a thick layer of strawberry sauce before they are baked to golden brown and glazed with smooth cream cheese frosting.

How are The Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls Made?

Start with making the making the strawberry sauce. Add frozen strawberries, sugar and arrowroot powder to a saucepan and cook until thickened. Cool completely or overnight.
Mix the dough in a stand mixer with a dough hook. It can also be mixed by hand if desired. Roll dough to thin rectangle. Spread on softened butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread cooled strawberry filling on top. The combination of both fillings makes these rolls delicious.
Roll up the dough lengthwise and cut into eight pieces. Place them in a greased baking pan. You can use a rectangle pan or a Large 10-12 inch round pan. The round pan will yield more rounded Rolls. Let them rise for 30 minutes.

How to Bake the Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls?

You can bake them as is or brush on an egg wash of an egg and 1 teaspoon of water. You can also pour 1/2- 1 cup heavy cream on top of the rolls. The heavy cream makes the rolls gooey and moist. This is my preferred method.
Bake them for 25-30 minutes, cool for a few minutes and spread the cream cheese on top.
