Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix (made according to directions)
  • 1 bag Black candy melts
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Dragon eye or Halloween themed silicon mold (5 oz or 4x2x1 inches)
  • Green food gel
  • 1 tsp vodka

Instructions

  • Bake brownies according to directions, then place on the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight until cold. Cut each brownies slightly smaller than the Halloween themed silicon mold. Set them aside.
In a microwave safe bowl add the bag of candy melts and vegetable oil. Microwave for 40 seconds. Remove from the microwave and stir until smooth. If the chocolate will not get to a smooth consistency after stirring several times, place the bowl back into the microwave and microwave for an additional 10 seconds, but no more than 1 minute in total. Stir until smooth.
Spoon 3-5 tablespoons of the chocolate into the mold, depending on the size of your mold. Add a brownie and push the brownie to the center of the mold. Cover the brownie with additional chocolate until the mold is completely filled. Let the brownie firm up in the refrigerator, about 10-15 minutes Gently remove them from the mold. Repeat with the other brownie, or use additional molds if you have them.
Combine 1-2 drops of food gel and vodka in a small dish. Use a paint brush just for food to mix the color and paint the eyes with the mixture. Repeat with the other brownies and serve.
