Pear Cheese Tart

Ingredients

  • 4 pears (cut in half & thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 box puffed pastry
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • Thaw puff pastry in the refrigerator overnight. Open the package and remove the two sheets. Press the sheets together by overlapping them at the ends. In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 1/3 cup of the sugar, the egg, and vanilla. Spread over the pastry. Arrange pear slices over the pastry in a pattern. Brush with melted butter, then sprinkle on the remaining 2/3 cup sugar. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until starting to brown. remove and let cool.
