Snow days are for baking and making hot chocolate. After coming in from playing in the snow and making snowmen (snow people more politically correct), my son has to have a cup of my hot chocolate. My version is rich, creamy and full of chocolate! I use both milk and heavy cream. We also like to add marshmallows, whipped cream and sprinkles! We love extra toppings! Top yours however you like.
Hot chocolate
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup dark cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- marshmallows
- whipped cream
- rainbow sprinkles
Instructions
- In a pot, combine milk, heavy cream, cocoa, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Warm until it begins to boil. Pour into 4 mugs. Top with marshmallows, whipped cream, and sprinkles.
