Puff Pastry Nutella Twists II

I’m trying out different ways to shape puff pastry with Nutella. I’ve done this combination before, only with a different shape.

In this version, you cut one sheet of puff pastry into three parts and spread the Nutella over each piece covering them completely. Take one piece and roll it up lengthwise. Cut it in half lengthwise as well, as if you were making a brioche. Twist the dough into a circle and place it on a parchment lined baking sheet. Repeat with the other 2 pieces. Unfold the second puff pastry sheet and repeat the process. One box of puff pastry makes 6 Nutella Twists.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box puffed pastry
  • 1 jar Nutella
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions
 

  • Thaw puff pastry.  Cut one sheet of puff pastry into three parts and spread the Nutella over each piece covering them completely. Take one piece and roll it up lengthwise. Cut it in half lengthwise as well, as if you were making a brioche. Twist the dough into a circle and place it on a parchment lined baking sheet. Repeat with the other 2 pieces. Unfold the second puff pastry sheet and repeat the process.  Beat egg and brush on each pastry. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 10-12 minutes or until browned. Cool on a wire rack.
