I love milkshakes! Out of all the different flavors of milkshakes you can have, I have to admit. I almost always choose the basic Vanilla. Maybe because it’s comforting and reminds me of my childhood or it’s just plain delicious. In honor of National Vanilla Milkshake Day, I made an Extreme Vanilla Milkshake.
Seeing all the Extreme milkshakes at various restaurants and cafés inspired me to try one of my own. Some are completely outrageous! They have about 4-6 desserts stacked on top of these milkshake glasses! I wasn’t going that extreme. I was going for moderately extreme.
To make your Milkshake Extreme, just add cake, a brownie, doughnuts, candy, cookies or whatever extra treats you want to. You can use all desserts or all candy. However you want to arrange it.
To go on top of my vanilla milkshake, I decided to use two doughnuts with bright summery colors of pink and light blue with sprinkles. Then, I added a large toasted marshmallow. I toasted it using a hand held torch until it was the perfect toasted shade. Then I added a little whipped cream to top it off and stuck a long cookie and a straw in it.
It’s the perfect drink to kick of the first day of Summer tomorrow. Yummmm!
