Spooky Spider Blueberry Pie

Spread the love

This weekend the kids and I did some Halloween crafts. We painted pumpkins, put up cotton spider webs, and made this Spooky Spider Blueberry Pie.

I’m always in favor of going to Homemade route, but since I was baking with the kids, I decided to use an already prepared pie dough. Fast & easy! Pillsbury has a really great one.

We started out by printing out a picture of a spider online.  We tried to find one that takes up most of the page, so it would fit the entire top crust.  Cut it out carefully so that all of the details of the spider are kept. Place it on top of the dough. Then use an Exacto Knife to cut out the spider. If you do not have an Exacto, then use a regular knife.  Be careful not to move the spider cut out once you start so the image will be exact.

Place the cut out dough on top of the blueberry filling and bake.  Here is the Recipe for my blueberry pie from a past post. Just make the Recipe for the filling, not the dough (unless you want to use a homemade dough instead).

The kids has such a good time with this one and it turned out great!  Happy Halloween!
