Vodka Sauce Chicken Pizza with Arugula

Spread the love

I love pizza! I mean, I am from New York, and we have some really great thin crust pizza here!

This Vodka Sauce Chicken Pizza with Arugula is perfect to make for National Pizza Day!

Thin crispy crust with creamy tomato sauce, cheese and arugula really hit the spot. This is definitely one recipe that you’ll want to make over and over, especially on Pizza Fridays!

Crust:

1 1/2 cups bread flour

1/2 package of rapid rise yeast

1/2 tsp sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp olive oil

2/3 cup warm water

Toppings:

1 cup prepared vodka sauce

1 clove garlic, thinly sliced

1 tbsp Italian seasoning

2 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

2 cups shredded mozzarella

1 cup cooked chopped chicken

1 cup arugula

Assembly:

Combine flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment.

Turn on the mixer on a medium setting and add water and oil. Let the dough knead for about 2 minutes. Place dough into a greased bowl and cover with a cloth for 2 hours.

Pre-heat oven to 500 degrees. Punch down the dough and stretch onto a pizza pan. Place dough in the oven for 5-10 minutes. Remove from oven and add sauce, garlic, seasonings, cheese and chicken. Place back into the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and starts to slightly brown. Remove from oven and sprinkle with arugula.
