It’s the last Friday in August! Where has the Summer gone??? I hope you all made the best of it! So, to pay homage to my favorite season, I decided to bid it farewell by hosting a End of Summer Cocktail Collab! Officially, we still have a couple of weeks left, but after Labor Day Weekend comes, it pretty much feels like we’re transitioning into Fall and the internet is bombarded with everything pumpkin!
For this Collab, I made a Cherry Limeade Rum Dill Spritzer. I muddled fresh cherries with a little sugar and dill, squeezed a few limes, added a shot of rum and topped it with club soda. I even took a torch to the lime garnish. Lol
Rum is my favorite Summer spirit and dill is a great aromatic that invigorates your senses!
Recipe:
-Makes 2 drinks
6 cherries, pitted
2 tbsp sugar
4-6 limes
2 jiggers of rum
Club soda
Fresh dill
Add 3 cherries to each of 2 highball glasses. Place 1 tablespoon of sugar in each. Top with a couple of sprigs of dill. Muddle cherries with a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon.
Squeeze 2-3 limes into each of the 2 glasses. It should have the tartness that you like. If not, add another lime.
Add 1 jigger of rum to each glass. Mix.
Pour club soda to each glass to the top. Garnish with lime slices and cherries.
