For months, we spent a lot of time at home and had to bring the entertainment and fun times to ourselves. What better way to unwind during the quarantine than to make our own Italian themed dinner night!
Malfy Gin helps to make that happen! Malfy Gin is an Italian Gin inspired by the gorgeous Amalfy Coast. It comes in four amazing flavors to elevate your cocktails!
For this Fig, Lemon Gin & Thyme cocktail, I used Malfy Gin Limone. It had just the right amount of Lemon flavor that paired perfectly with the Figs. Muddle the figs with lemon juice and sugar. Add to a glass with ice and top with Prosecco. The perfect cocktail!
I paired the cocktail with a Fettuccine with a mushroom cream sauce dish. The earthiness of the mushrooms were a perfect match to the Fig Lemon filled Cocktail.
This was an amazing dinner!

Fig Lemon Thyme Cocktail

Servings 1 Person

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Figs
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 oz Malfy Gin Lemone
  • thyme
  • Prosecco

Instructions
 

  • In a shaker, scoop out the ripe flesh of the figs. Add sugar, lemon juice and 1 thyme sprig and muddle until it makes a syrup. Divide between glasses. Add ice and and pour Prosecco to fill up each glass. Top with a half of fig and a sprig of thyme

Fettuccine with Mushroom Cream Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb fettucine
  • 1 1/2 cups Mushrooms, washed & sliced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • parmesan cheese
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • parsley to garnish

Instructions
 

  • Boil pasta until al dente. In a pan, melt butter and add garlic. Add mushrooms. Pour in heavy cream. Let the sauce cook and thicken. Add salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle on Parmesan cheese. Stir. Add pasta to the pan and mix until the sauce costs the pasta. Serve and top with fresh parsley.
