Have You Tried An Irish Mule?

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! St. Patrick’s Day is a global celebration of Irish culture that takes place annually on March 17. I’ve always baked a dessert for St. Patrick’s Day, but this year, I’m having something different. I’m having a cocktail! An Irish Mule Cocktail!

What is an Irish Mule Cocktail?

An Irish Mule is just like a Moscow Mule, but with Irish Whiskey instead of Vodka. It’s a cocktail that served in a copper mug with ice, Irish whiskey, fresh lime juice and ginger beer topped with fresh mint leaves and lime slices.

Why are Irish Mule Cocktails Served in a Copper Mug?

Copper is a thermal conductor, so copper mugs respond to the temperature of what is inside of it. It keeps it chilled or warm depending on what the beverage is. When containing a mule, copper mugs become cool, creating a chilling sensation when sipped.
The Irish Mule is the perfect festive drink! It’s definitely a must try!
