How Often Do You Make Waffles?

Waffles are definitely one of my favorite things to have for breakfast. There’s just something about the crispy, airy delicious breakfast treat.
And these waffles are topped with lavender strawberries marinated strawberries!

How do you make the strawberries?

You can use dried or fresh lavender. I ordered some from Amazon, which worked perfectly. Take some of the lavender leaves and mix with granulated sugar. Grind the mixture until the lavender is broken down into fine pieces and the sugar is fragrant.
Slice fresh strawberries and mix them with the lavender sugar. Let them sit until the juices make a syrup.
For the waffles, mix the dry ingredients and set aside. Melt the butter and add it to all of the wet ingredients. Fold everything together.
Heat a waffle iron until ready. Spray with cooking spray. Spoon about 1/2 of batter into the waffle iron or each well of the waffle iron, depending on the size of your iron. Cook according to the waffle iron’s directions. It will usually be until it’s cooking light changes color or goes off.
Top waffles with the strawberries, add some whipped cream and serve!
The perfect brunch!
