How is this Easy Orange Honey Butter Recipe made?
Combine softened butter, honey and orange zest in a bowl and stir to combine. Top it on toast, homemade buttermilk biscuits or easy buttermilk pancakes from scratch like I did!

How Are The Buttermilk Pancakes Made?

Start with adding the dry ingredients to the bowl, then the egg, buttermilk, and butter.
You need to use buttermilk in this easy pancake recipe. The buttermilk makes the pancakes soft and fluffy. Do not use all whole milk. The texture will not be the same. Use buttermilk and just a little milk to thin the batter slightly.
We make this fluffy pancake recipe every single weekend. They’re a family favorite and are so good!

  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp edible dried roses (optional)

Instructions

Pancakes

  • In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add buttermilk, egg, whole milk, melted butter and vanilla. Heat a non stick griddle. Scoop about 1/4 cup batter for each pancake onto griddle. Brown on both sides. Top with candied oranges, orange honey butter and syrup.

Candied Oranges

  • Combine orange wedges or slices, orange juice and sugar in a pot. Cook for about 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved

Orange Honey Butter

  • Use a zester to remove the rind entirely. Place atop a towel. Fold the gathered zest and press firmly to remove excess moisture. Set aside.
In a small bowl, drop in the honey, salt & butter. Using a rubber spatula, beat together the ingredients until cohesive. Lastly, add in the zest and optional dried rose petals. Mix well until smooth and flecks of zest (and petals) are visible throughout.
